We are currently recruiting for the following positions:

ROLE: Application Tester - ESB
Location: Mclean VA.
  Durantion: 3 MO.

REQUIRED SKILLS:. The selected candidate will support EDME team as an application tester for the ESB team. 
This position requires knowledge and experience of WAMP and LAMP. 
Apache setup and scripting experience also required. 
Strong analytical and communication skills are required and must be able to perform well under pressure.

Candidate must have WAMP experience (Perl and PHP scripting skills and MySQL experience)
Candidate must be able to compare and execute test scripts
Candidate must be able to set up Apache
Candidate must have familiarity with LAMP
Candidate must have excellent communication
PREFERRED SKILLS: 2 to 4 years of Apache, MySQL, Perl & PHP scripting experience
1 to 3 years of Linux experience

RESPONSIBILITIES: Job Duty 1 with 40% of time -  Testing
Job Duty 2 with 30% of time - Planning
Job Duty 3 with 20% of time - Identify and execute application testing tasks in a team setting
Job Duty 4 with 10% of time -  Report to managements  and train other engineers

Contractor must meet security clearance requirements for Customs and Border Protection.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- CBP requires that for the three (3) years prior to the filing of an application for employment, individuals must meet the one or more of the following primary residence criteria:
(a) the applicant resided in the United States (short trips abroad, such as vacations, will not necessarily disqualify an applicant); or
(b) the applicant worked for the U.S. Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or military capacity; or

ROLE: Technical Writer-Trainer

Location: Sacramento, CA.
Duration: 9 MOS.
 
Description:
The Technical Writer-Trainer prepares system training documentation and supports and delivers training to a state agency.  The ideal candidate will have experience (1) writing training documents for new software applications from scratch, (2) designing and delivering Train-the-Trainer programs, and (3) developing material for training delivery using a virtual / webinar format.  The candidate will be required to submit a writing sample, undergo a writing assessment, and provide a training demonstration.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop curriculum to train system functionality that will be used by a variety of user groups
• Develop training materials, including student guides, trainer support guides, user manual(s), and training evaluation / assessment tools
• Develop training materials for use in either a traditional classroom setting or a virtual / webinar format (i.e. facilitated remotely using LiveMeeting)
• Analyze training effectiveness, identify and communicate potential improvement opportunities
• Edit, format, standardize, and make changes to written material
• Collaborate with technical team members (such as developers or testers) to clarify functionality for training documentation
Work collaboratively with a team of trainers to deliver a Train-the-Trainer course. This includes:
o          Providing training to state trainers to prepare them to deliver a training course for a new business system affecting over 1,000 end users across the state of California
o          Delivering live presentations and providing instruction during hands-on training on system functionality and end user training curricula
o          Assisting in assessing the preparedness of the state trainers for presenting the training curricula, including their functional understanding of the new system, and their presentation and training skills
 
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:
• Three years experience as a technical writer-trainer producing materials for and delivering system-related training
• Familiarity with adult learning principles
• Experience developing / delivering a Train-the-Trainer program on at least one project
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent
• Proficiency  in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and Project; proficiency using Adobe Acrobat Professional
 
Desirable Skills, Experience and Attributes:
• Five years experience as a technical writer-trainer producing materials for and delivering system-related training
• Experience developing / delivering a Train-the-Trainer program on at least three projects
• Skilled in design of training effectiveness assessment tools, analysis, and report writing
• Experience with state or local government agencies

ROLE: Designer/Developer  Location: Sacramento, CA

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Baccalaureate or graduate degree in related area of study
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Good communication skills
• Minimum 5 years Microsoft .NET / C# development experience
• Must be experienced in Visual SourceSafe (VSS) or Team Foundation Services (TFS)
• Minimum 5 years of ASP.NET Web Application development experience
• Minimum 2 years of WCF Web Services development Experience
• Strong MS-SQL Server or similar relational Database development experience using ADO.NET and LINQ
• Experience in using Microsoft Enterprise Library Application Blocks
• Experience in MS Windows Work Flow Foundation
• Legacy System Integration Experience

PREFERRED SKILLS:
• MS Entity Framework experience
• Integration experience with MS-SharePoint Server 2007

ROLE:  Oracle System Administrator  Location: Santa Ana, CA

Sun Solaris
Tuning hardware and operating system environments
Infrastructure design and hands on installation background
TIBCO installation and maintenance
Cognos installation and maintenance

Strong Solaris person with proficiency with WebLogic.
Oracle security and Oracle database knowledge is a plus.

This position will work closely with our infrastructure team to install and maintain Sun Solaris and Microsoft Server environments.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be experienced in the following areas:
 
•Sun Solaris platform experience
•Understanding of installation and maintenance of the following tools:
•BEA WebLogic
•Oracle 11g Database
•TIBCO
•Oracle Security Middleware (Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Internet Directory)
•Tuning hardware and operating system environments
•Infrastructure design and hands on installation background
• Creating and maintaining system documentation, including installation / configuration documents

Education and/or Relevant Experience:
 
•BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 3 years of overall IT experience or equivalent work experience
•Sun Solaris, WebLogic and Oracle Security certifications a plus
 

ROLE: Developer   Location: Santa Ana, CA.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop J2EE code based on the design using Weblogic 9.1 as the application server

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Mandatory Requirements for Architecture and Design Skills:
• 4-7 years of experience with J2EE architecture (EJB, JMS, etc.)
• 3-5 years of experience in implementing MVC based frameworks like Struts.
• 4-6 years of experience in implementing J2EE based enterprise applications using app servers like JBOSS, WebLogic, WebSphere, etc.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience on Weblogic 9.1.
• Experience of developing design artifacts such as Sequence and Activity diagrams and flow charts using tools such as MagicDraw, Rational Rose, Visio or others
• Experience of working in teams and performing peer code reviews, unit testing and integration testing for integration scenarios
Other Mandatory Skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• Willingness to mentor junior staff.
• Must have “Can do” attitude and must be team player

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Highly Desirable Technical Skills:
• 1-2 years of experience in implementing AJAX based solutions.
• 1-2 years of experience is writing SQL based queries like prepared statements, tuning SQL queries, etc.
• 1-2 years of experience in writing stored procedures.
